  • Hi Augie --

Your coin has been harshly cleaned, which lowers value substantially. However, it is such a rare coin that some collectors would want to buy it.

These coin are often counterfeited, but yours looks real to me.

Your first order of business is to authenticate your coin, and to make it look more presentable. The way to do this is via this organization:

Contact them first, and include a picture of your coin. Send your coin to them via registered mail. Assuming it comes back to you as a genuine coin, consider selling it to one of these "big time" coin dealers:

    • augie- US. It is really a medal and not a coin. A famous medal. Hope it's genuine. In your picture it looks genuine to me.
