  • You are correct, Akhusein. Your coin is from Turkey.

The year is clearly 1327/3, that is, the 3rd year of the reign of Muhammad V, but the denomination could be 25, 50, 100, 250, or 500 kurush, depending on size and weight. I think your coin says 500 kurush below the torches, but I am not sure.

The value of your coin depends on denomination and real/fake status. I hope your coin is real. The defects in the rim indicate it may not be real. To find out, take it to a jeweler and have it tested for gold content (genuine coins are made of gold) and weigh it to within 0.1 gram. Then compare to the values on this page:

    https://coinquest.com/cgi-bin/cq/coins.pl?coin=12946

The 500 kurush in my picture weighs 36.08 grams and sold for $1892 US dollars in a recent auction.

I sent you the catalog page(screenshot) with the coin's values by grade of conservation. Haven't you seen them?! The market real price of any collectable(coins included) depends always on the finding of the right buyer who wants that item very much... Generally, this happens in auctions. So... Again, good luck! 🤗

My friend,it is me now who don't understand! What is so difficult to understand in that clear catalogue page?!? Your coin seems to be in good preservation condition/grade but perhaps cleaned in the past... His appearance has not a natural mint luster(as I see from photos). I repeat,CATALOGUE value is so  up to 9000 usd($),that is XF grade. But,please be aware that nobody will give you immediately this high amount! Perhaps,a dealer will offer you a half of that(50%) and a coin collector some 75%(about 7000coco).

      Clear now?!?

      You are welcomed,my friend!

Hope you will sell well your coin! It is so expensive that any (correct) amount is good. I may also suggest you to have it authenticated & graded by an international(american) grading service because even if you pay a fee to them, the action is worth and grows the coin's value/price in the eyes of a serious buyer.

      Good luck again!👍👍👍

I suggested you an american grading service because they are internationaly recognized. So,please pay attention to the grading service you'll use: they should be SERIOUS & PROFESSIONAL! Better is if they are recognized by the well known american service(s). Otherwise your money for paid service fees will be lost money,in vain.

      Coin wieght is 36.8 grams

      Like
    • If you mean 36.08 grams, that's the correct weight. According to our page, here:

      https://coinquest.com/cgi-bin/cq/coins.pl?coin=12946

Base Value (gold bullion value) is about $1700 US dollars with a premium above gold of $2000, making catalog value $3700. At that catalog value, a dealer should offer you about $2000 for your coin. A collector might pay as high as $3200.

      Hi Paul,

      Thankyou for information,

Some one told me your coin is very rare coin and it's uncirculated I mean 1327/3 type coin is not available in market and  same coin mintaged only 20 so you will get minimum 5 to 6 lacs US$.

      Like
  • Akhusein -- Your coin is not uncirculated, but it is still valuable. You can send it to PCGS or NGC and have it authenticated, graded, and encapsulate, which should increase its value. The replies you've gotten from me and from Andi give you a good idea of true value.
