China: Dimpled Silver Dish with Inset Republic Li Yuan-hung Dollar ND

This is my item, however the link to an upcoming auction is below. How do I find out if replica or same. Rear side of coin is quite shiny on mine? Any ideas, cheers

  • Very nice. The condition of your piece is equivalent to the Heritage item. In general, 'shininess' on a coin is a bad thing. It means the coin has been cleaned with harsh chemicals, and cleaning always lowers values. Nevertheless, your bowl looks terrific as does your coin, Watch the Heritage auction, and yours would be worth about the same once it ends, plus or minus $200 US dollars.

Hi Paul, thanks a lot for that. To me it looks like the rear has been coated bit the face side seems authentic. Any way to tell if it's legit properly as don't want to sell under false pretences

    Dear Paul

Could you help me sell my item. I appreciate it has been awhile since our last correspondence. I am willing to send the item to yourself with insurance. It would mean a great deal to me if you could assist.

    Regards as always

    Mr J Vanden-Heede
