This cent there are no D under the year

    The coin is normal. The "D" you mention is a mint mark, which shows where the coin was manufactured. US coins have them as follows: D for Denver, S for San Francisco, O for New Orleans, W for West Point, CC for Carson City, C for Charlotte, and P for Philadelphia. When no mint mark appears, as in your coin, it was minted in Philadelphia.

    • Aisha -- It is a very common coin, and it is not in good condition. In America it is worth about 5 US cents.
