Could this conceivably be genuine? We have inherited a collection of many coins from many countries and this was among them. We live in England and the collection was built up over the early to mid twentieth century.
Not obvious. Most fakes are obvious. It could be genuine. Can you ascertain the metallic content? Genuine coins were struck in pewter, brass, and silver. Genuine coins are very valuable: $5000 USD and up. It would be wise to pursue professional authentication. Look up these on the Internet: PCGS, ICG, NGC, ANACS. Good luck!
