  • Hi! Toni, you now have one of the several models-types (design,size,metal...) of MEDALS ''Securit(as) in tempenstate'', minted for centuries (17-th. to 20-th.) mainly in the German States,Austria,Hungary. They are ''good luck'' medals-tokens minted for the protection in hard times & wars of sailors,soldiers...

Your variety is from Austria, about 1912. It was also damaged by the harsh cut of the loop it originally had. For those collectors who collect tokens and such ''good luck'' medals,it may be worth a few dollars. I say, under 10$.

  • Didnt know that. So the medal was made in honour for that ship. Interesting.

    • Toni T Toni, not exactly ''in honour''! But for the occasion of the launching at sea of that battleship. To protect the ship & its crew...

I told you,by coins & numismatics someone(you, for example!) may learn a lot of new information.馃榾馃榾馃榾
