1919H Worn or Mint Error?
I have a 1919h penny but looks to be either worn or a mint error , I first thought it was wear but it a strange way to wear just round the 'NE' of One and the 'Y' of Penny yet the shield is looking ok but the reverse is quite worn.
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Does look like a "struck through die grease" error. This is perhaps the most common error in coin minting and rarely raises value much. There are some collectors who specialize in error coins, and such a collector may pay a bit extra to add your coin to his or her collection.
Our main page on this error is found at this link.Reply
Christopher E. Hagedorn flip it over ..if it's worn then it will be worn on the same place other side,..if not looks like weak strike;)Reply
