can anyone tell me about this coin?
As you mentioned, it is indeed a Roman Coin, which I believe depicts the Roman sun deity, Sol. I would guess that it is around the Constantine Era, 330 A.D. However, I am not good at recognizing Emperors by just their face, as the mounting is covering up some of the inscription.
But, for the coin alone, I would guess it be worth say $10, or at least that is the price I would pay for it. In terms of it mounted as jewellery, some pay more for it, though the tradition of wearing a coin necklace has greatly declined in modern times though.Reply
